HLA-DRB1 Shared Epitope RA Risk Panel
PCR panel targeting key HLA-DRB1 markers associated with rheumatoid arthritis risk and severity, including Shared Epitope motifs, Val11, and DRB1*09:01.
Product Description
The Hola HLA-DRB1 Shared Epitope Lyo PCR Kit is a lyophilized real-time PCR panel under development for qualitative analysis of selected HLA-DRB1 markers relevant to rheumatoid arthritis.
The Shared Epitope (SE) refers to amino acid motifs such as QKRAA and QRRAA encoded by the HLA-DRB1 gene. It is one of the strongest known genetic risk factors for rheumatoid arthritis, particularly for ACPA-positive disease, which is associated with faster progression and structural damage.
The panel further includes Valine at position 11 (Val11), associated with erosion risk, and HLA-DRB1*09:01, a marker relevant in selected Asian populations.
The kit is being developed in a single-reaction lyophilized PCR strip format for use with selected open qPCR instruments and Hola MDX systems.
