A venous blood ELISA test allows to determine the level of antibodies after vaccination, after an illness, or if the organism has come into contact with a virus in the past. The test is available on the second floor of the Polyclinic Starý Lískovec, door 222.
Book testingIgA antibodies appear on days 3 to 7 after the virus enters the body. They persist in most cases for 2 to 4 months. Detection of these antibodies is important, especially after vaccination and natural infection, to assess the effective neutralizing activity on mucous membranes.
IgG antibodies appear on days 10 to 20 after infection. They persist in most cases for up to 10 months. Detection of these types of antibodies is important after vaccination and natural infection to assess neutralizing antibody levels and long-term immunity.
IgM antibodies appear on days 2 to 5 after infection. They persist in most cases for 1 to 2 months. If present, there is a high probability of recent infection.
NP IgG antibodies appear 14 to 21 days after infection. They persist in most cases for up to 10 months. Detection of these types of antibodies is particularly useful for identifying antibodies after infection.
